This week, 1–5 September 2025, marks Jean Hailes Women’s Health Week, Australia’s largest national campaign dedicated to supporting the health and wellbeing of women.

Each year, Women’s Health Week highlights the importance of making time for your health. The 2025 theme is “Say yes to you” — a reminder to prioritise your health and wellbeing, even when life is busy.
Making Time for Your Health
Women often put the needs of others ahead of their own, delaying appointments or overlooking changes in their health. Women’s Health Week is a reminder to pause, reflect, and take action to care for yourself.
Looking after your health doesn’t have to mean big changes. It can be as simple as:
- Booking in for a regular health check
- Talking to your GP about symptoms you’ve been ignoring
- Checking in on your mental wellbeing
- Staying up to date with recommended screenings and vaccinations
This Year’s Focus Areas
Each day of Women’s Health Week explores a different theme:
- Every check matters – Stay up to date with routine health checks and know what’s normal for your body
- Take the lead – Build the confidence to make the most of your health appointments
- Heart smart – Heart disease affects women differently and deserves attention
- Pain to power – Pain isn’t just 'part of being a woman'; seek support and care
- Be kind to your mind – Mental health and self-care are just as important as physical wellbeing
