Signal Health Newton is a locally owned and operated general practice caring for individuals and families in Newton and the surrounding community.

Although our name has changed over the years, our connection with the community has remained strong. Many of the doctors, nurses and administrative staff you see at Signal Health Newton have been part of the practice community for a long time. They have come to know generations of local families and understand the value of familiar faces, trusted relationships and continuity of care.

Our Practice Principal and owner, Dr Andrew Kellie, and previous practice owner, Dr Joe Alvaro, have been part of general practices in Newton for more than 30 years. Their longstanding connection with the area and commitment to local healthcare continue to help shape the practice today.

Our history

Our practice was previously known as EAHC Newton and has a long history of caring for the local community.

In 2024, the practice became Signal Health Newton, establishing a new and independent local identity under the leadership of Practice Principal Dr Andrew Kellie. While the name changed, patients continued to see many of the same familiar doctors, nurses and staff.

The name Signal Health reflects our belief that good healthcare starts with paying attention to what patients tell us, to changes in their health and to opportunities to provide better support.

We are proud of the history behind our practice and look forward to continuing to care for our community for many years to come.
