Book Your 2025 Flu Vaccine

Flu season is just around the corner, and we are now taking bookings for our 2025 flu vaccine clinics at Signal Health Newton. Our flu vaccine clinics will be running from April to June this year.

A flu vaccine is recommended every year for everyone aged 6 months and over to reduce the risk of getting sick from the flu. As flu strains can change each year, getting vaccinated annually is the most effective way to stay protected. While Autumn is the ideal time to get vaccinated, but you can have your flu vaccine anytime during flu season. It usually takes up to two weeks for the vaccine to offer full protection.

Government Funded Flu Vaccines

Government funded flu vaccines are available at no cost for those who are at higher risk of serious flu complications. Under the National Immunisation Program, this includes:

• People aged 65 years or over.

• Children aged 6 months to less than 5 years.

• Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people starting from six months of age.

• Pregnant women at any stage of pregnancy.

• Individuals with chronic conditions such as severe asthma, diabetes, heart, lung, or kidney disease, and those with lowered immunity.

Private Flu Vaccines

If you are not eligible for the government-funded vaccine, you can still receive a private flu vaccine with us for $20. You can book your appointment online or by calling us on 8360 9777.

Flu Vaccine Clinic Appointment Details

A few things to remember for your flu vaccine appointment:

• Your appointment is dedicated solely for the flu vaccine and does not cover other health concerns.

• Payment is required at the time of your appointment if you are having a private flu vaccine.

• Please arrive 5 minutes early for your appointment.

• If you need to cancel or reschedule, please call us in advance.

• All flu vaccine consultations in our Flu Vaccine Clinics are bulk-billed.

COVID Vaccinations Available Too

If you are eligible for a COVID vaccine and would like to receive one, we can administer it at the same time as your flu vaccine in our clinics. Please just let us know when you book your flu vaccine appointment.
